Living it real.

We live by The Hope Code. It’s how we strive to live out our beliefs not only in the life of our church, but in our personal lives as well. These core values come from our understanding of scripture and we believe that these same principles can be seen in the life of Jesus as He related to His Father and to those around Him.

WE LOVE GOD WITH EVERYTHING

Because our primary pursuit in life is a personal, intimate relationship with God, we use our time, dreams, plans and passionate worship to demonstrate our love for Him. We communicate with Him daily in prayer and learn from Him through Bible reading.

WE ARE HOLY SPIRIT LED

God is always with us, desiring to direct our steps to lead us into the fullest life possible. He speaks to us through the written Word of God, visions, dreams and the nine Gifts of the Spirit. These include the ability to speak in languages which have not been learned as well as the interpretation of what was spoken. In addition, He gives believers the capability to speak words of prophecy, wisdom and knowledge and demonstrates His power through us and to us by giving exceptional faith, healing, miracles and the ability to discern spirits. All of this is based on the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11 [KJV/NIV]
Joel 2:28 [KJV/NIV]

WE DO LIFE TOGETHER

Authentic friendships are a key to healthy community. Our goal is to build ongoing relationships with as many as we can, assimilating those around us into our church family. We attempt to be transparent and real. We know we can't share everything with all but can share everything with some.

WE DO ALL WE CAN TO INFLUENCE OTHERS FOR JESUS

Our lifestyle, in both word and deed, shows Jesus in us and His love for those around us. The Hope Center is our base for helping people in need to connect with groups already able to address their needs. Through life coaching, we provide training and tools to equip them to live healthy and productive lives.

WE STRIVE FOR OUTRAGEOUS GIVING

Our goal is to live a lifestyle of sacrificial giving for the sake of our church, our community and our world through faithful service and financial contributions according to scriptural direction and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO ONGOING GROWTH

At Hope Church, spiritual growth is achieved by continuing education in God’s Word through preaching, teaching and LIFE groups that give us not only intellectual knowledge but practical application for Christian living.

Our Core Beliefs

THE BIBLE IS
THE WORD OF GOD

We believe both the Old and New Testaments are the only reliable and truthful authority of God and we study the Word daily to guide us in our conduct. The Bible is the basis for all we believe in.

2 Timothy 3:15-17 [KJV/NIV]
1 Thessalonians 2:13 [KJV/NIV]
2 Peter 1:21 [KJV/NIV]

BELIEVERS CAN BE SPIRIT-FILLED AND SPIRIT-LED

We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s personal presence in the world and the only way to live the Christian life is by God’s power within us. Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit and we strive for a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to convict us of sin and unbelief, empowering us to experience, know, become like and testify about Jesus.

Acts 1:8 [KJV/NIV]
1 Corinthians 12:1-31 [KJV/NIV]

THE ONE TRUE GOD

There is only one true God, the great “I AM”, creator of heaven and earth and the rescuer of mankind revealed to us as the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. God is passionate about reconciling people to Himself and has an eternal plan for your life.

Deuteronomy 6:4 [KJV/NIV]
Isaiah 43:10,11 [KJV/NIV]
Matthew 28:19 [KJV/NIV]
Luke 3:22 [KJV/NIV]

THE CHURCH AS A COMMUNITY

We believe that all people were created in the image of God in order to reflect His compassion, love and goodness, but we are unable to do so because of the corruption of sin. The church is a place where people from all walks of life come together in community to worship God, to demonstrate God’s love and compassion for one another and to tell others how Jesus can impact their lives.

JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily died on the cross as a substitute to pay for our sins. He rose from the dead and is our only way to God. By His death and resurrection Jesus delivers us from sin and death and remains alive today as the leader of his Church. He baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit and will soon return to earth to fulfill prophesy. Jesus’ model of intimacy with the Father, obedience to His will, and unconditional love for people provides the perfect example for his followers to imitate.
